Cashew nuts

Raw cashew is cultivated in Vietnam, India, Tanzania, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Ghana, etc. However, Vietnam is the 1 processing and exporting country for cashew nut. The total exporting value is almost 3 billion US dollar in 2018.

Binh Phuoc province is homeland of cashew nut which has more than 60% total growing plantation. And Dongnai, Phu Yen, Vung Tau, Daklak are also growing raw cashew.

Moreover, the Vietnam cashew nut is well known in the world by high quality, white color with strong milky cashew flavor. Our main market is: USA, Europe, China, Middle East and Asian countries.

Cassia/ Cinnamon Stick

Cinnamon Stick from Vietnam is mostly harvested in Yenbai, Lao Cai, Quang Nam provinces. Total area of cinnamon cultivation is more than 150,000 ha. The annual quantity is 30000 tons of all cinnamon stick and others accordingly. But… 90% of total production fresh cinnamon is from Yen Bai. That is the North mountain areas of Vietnam.

cinnamon stick from vietnam has very competitive price. In fact, there are 2 crops: main crop in April-May and sub crop in September-October each year. Furthermore, April/May season is summer time, quality of Cinnamon stick is the best in a year. Which is scroll percentage higher than it is in sub-crop. And the Cinnamon stick from Vietnam is well dried under sunshine. In summer season, the temperature is between 35*-42*C. Hence, assured fully dried of all cinnamon products.

 Our plant harvest and process it without using synthetic chemicals, pesticides, non GMO. The Cinnamon stick from Vietnam contains very high natural oil content. In addition, we monitor, register the quality of fresh cinnamon. And we also the process of cleaning, sorting, drying, packing and delivery. Therefore, QC team commit the high standards of food safety. Our factory operates under ISO22000:2018, SSOP and HACCP.

As indicated, the most advantage of Cinnamon Stick in Vietnam (cassia vera AA)  is oil content. Which is around 6%, double time higher than Indonesia and Chinese cassia original. However, the price is much cheaper. Accordingly, the cinnamon price in Vietnam is 50% cheaper than Ceylon Cinnnamon in Srilanka. Hence, the demand of Vietnamese Cinnamon dramatically increased from the other parts of the world for past 3 years. Though above… the price of cinnamon in Vietnam is still very competitive.

Our factory process Vietnam Cassia Vera not only in whole/broken form but also in CINNAMON POWDER. For grinding purpose, we choose between 2 types of Cinnamon bark. Which are Broken Cassia KABC (5% oil content) and Cassia KBBC (with 1.5% oil content). This is depend on requirement of markets about quality and Ciinamon Powder price.

(Powder Cinnamon: Oil content 1.5-2-2.5-3% for EU and American market)

With modern factory, highly equipped, we are grinding Cinnamon powder 100% from Vietnam Cinnamon. We have advantages with cheaper labor cost, and near the plantation. Hence, Elmar is offering cinnamon powder is being offered at high quality, 100% pure, and very competitive price. The cinnamon powder has oil content from 1% to 5%. Although we export the most popular 2% oil content cinnamon powder.

Anise Star

Vietnam Star Anise is the sun-dried flowers shape. There are 6-8 petals star shaped fruit of Illicium verum. And it is a tree attaining a height of 8-15 meters and a diameter of 25 cm. The leaves are entire, 10-15 cm long, 2.5 – 5 cm broad, elliptic, flowers are solitary. The dried flowers contains 12% Voltile Oil (VO) minimum. Hence, it is very strong spicy spice.

Star Anise is quite important ingredient for Five Spices flavor in Chinese and Indian dishesh. It is also used alot in pharmaceutical industry. For example, the Tamiflu Vaxin is made from its essential oil!

There are 2 main crop: spring (March-April) and autumn (September-October). Therefore, we have also 2 types of these flowers: spring and autumn accordingly. And with big flower, open petals, seeds inside, the autumn one is called superior quality. Some of decoration factories use it for their Christmas presents.

Origin and Distribution

Star Anise is cultivated in Vietnam, China. These herbel spicy flowers are available in autumn crop mostly. And China mainly harvest the spring ones.

In addition, the main markets are: India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Korea, Europe, North and South American.

Production and future

The farmers cultivate star anise in the North provinces of Vietnam with total 50,000 ha. However, 70% production is from Langson province, 7000-8000 tons star anise per year.

Due to high economical value, these trees are helping the North people to stay away from poor and hungry.

Moreover, the price of star anise in Vietnam has been increasing higher and higher. Until now, the price is almost doubled within 18 months. The reason is high demand from market while supply is not much.

Autumn Star Anise

Hence, since 2019, Vietnamese Government started project to invest to grow Organic star anise. In order to enhance the value and brand the Vietnamese star anise which has quality far higher than Chinese ones.

Desiccated coconut

Desiccated coconut

In Vietnam, more than 70% coconut trees are growing in Bentre province. With this reason, Vietnamese calls Bentre – Kingdom of Coconut. Rich fat content, more from 63% to 68%, the world is evaluating coconut from Vietnam which is one of the best sources available now.

Back to history, in 2002, Egyptian importers of black pepper are the first men who asking Vietnamese to make desiccated coconut. Before those days, people in Vietnam use coconut for drinking water only. In the very early morning of coconut industry here, the total production capacity is 6 tons per month. In addition, people made desiccated coconut by hands and dry it by a small drier!

However, after 1 year, people knew benefit of this fruit after processed, lot of factories built. The factories upgraded their production capacity to 200 – 300 tons in 2003. Hence, total capacity of desiccated coconut in Vietnam was 15,000 tons per month in Bentre.

Regarding to the cultivated square 140,000 ha, rank 4 in the world. And the total production is 13 million tons fresh coconut meat.

Until 2019, desiccated coconut from Vietnam took an importance role in many bakery factories, curry cooking of whole world kitchens. Briefly, there are some main grades of its:

Firstly, desiccated coconut high fat: fine, medium, coconut long thread, coconut chips. Beside of desiccated coconut high fat, we press the raw fresh coconut meat to obtain coconut milk to make coconut milk powder, coconut milk liquid. Hence, the by product of this progression is: desiccated coconut low fat. Thus, this desiccated coconut low fat has snow white color, pure white, much lighter than high fat. In one container 40ft can load 11 to 17 tons while we load 26 tons of the coconut high fat. The fat content of desiccated coconut low fat is 25-35%, 40-45% depends customer requirement.

We have 2 production line which have capacity to process 1800 tons of  desiccated coconut per month. Our factory achieved HACCP, GMP, SSOP. The coconut is non GMO, 100% natural and not an allergen. Moreover, the factory has QA team and lab for testing every batch before shipment. And then, assure quality accordingly.

We have been exporting our desiccated coconut to more than 30 countries in the world. And for sure, customers are satisfied with quality with SSL inspected before shipment.
